Advance Booking Feature
Develop a feature within the existing apps that allows passengers to plan their transport ahead of time and drivers to plan their working hours.
DESIGN & APPROACH
Working with the product manager and development team identifying key metrics and points of contact required to ensure a seamless experience for both the passengers and drivers was crucial in developing a successful feature.
Many brainstorming, focus groups, sketching, wireframing, testing and iteration sessions were conducted throughout the entire process to ensure all components of the process worked in a methodical and user friendly way. The overall UX for drivers and passengers was simple and efficient however the backend logic worked tirelessly to ensure that the passenger would be picked up at their chosen time and location.
This project was conducted during a phase of transformation with the app itself. As it was my intention to slowly progress the app from a dark and confusing UI into a clean and bright UI - this project allowed for new visual aesthetics to be implemented that coincided with the new marketing and visual style GoCatch was developing. Many screens and user flows were created in order to ensure each use case had a positive experience and required new iconography to reinforce particular messaging and statuses of the bookings.
After rigorous testing this product is now in a Beta testing phase with some of GoCatch’s elite passengers and drivers.
