Recreate a more user-friendly website that enables targeted audiences to simply find the information relevant to their needs and a key aim to have drivers and passengers sign up to GoCatch.
Upon conducting a heuristic review on competitors and narrowing down the features that worked and did not work along with the information we were required to have on our website I was able to produce a detailed sitemap. The initial site mapping and wireframing ensured all relevant information for passengers, businesses and drivers was easily accessed and not hidden under multiple menus or hidden links like the current website.
Through sketching numerous key pages taking into account the lengthy information that was required I developed a modular template that would allow for future pages to be implemented and maintain a level of consistency.
The overall aesthetic of the user interface also had to be updated to incorporate the new visual style of the app and brand and align with marketing collateral. The white space combined with curved edges, squares, illustration and the mixture of monotone imagery and regular photography all work cohesively to produce an on-trend website that captures the GoCatch brand and target market.
As the major product and service is an app it was only natural to produce a mobile friendly website as it is the main way drivers will need to access their information and sign up to be a driver. There all designs needed to be dynamic in order to scale which was also another reason for utilising a modular template that could easily adapt to mobile in a clean way.
