Katarina & Timothy Wedding Stationery

Design a cohesive wedding stationery set with the vision of an elegant and whimsical garden style wedding with a slight rustic feel.
DESIGN & APPROACH
Locations already chosen and a clear image of how they envisioned their wedding day I was able to identify and capture the atmosphere they were looking to create.
A lunchtime reception at the Botanical Gardens and an evening reception at a barn set up to be an elegant feast amongst the forest I wanted to create an effortlessly beautiful set of stationery for the bride and groom.
Using botanical illustrations of the bride's favourite flowers - roses (which also happens to be her middle name) these invitations were set out to be something unique and special to both of them. This particular illustration was chosen as it captured the process of the rose growing from bud to full bloom - much like the love between these two high school sweethearts.
Applying the duotone effect and contrasting it with a light pink tone gave the stationery a whimsical feel. The contrast of illustration and geometric shapes and typography made it feel like the event was a modern take on a traditional wedding.
These invitations captured the essence of the day before it unfolded and the personalities of Katarina And Timothy - giving a great insight into what their closest family and friends were to experience on the day.
